Good Shepherd Lutheran Preschool

Our objective is to provide the children with experiences that will help prepare them for kindergarten while at the same time tacking them about our Good Shepherd and how His Work apples to everything in their daily lives.

A typical day at Good Shepherd Preschool will always include Word of God and snacks. Additional activities may include Art projects, field trips, role-playing, creative drama, music and movement activities.

Kimberle Steinberg is our Preschool teacher. Kim received her Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Dr. Martin Luther College, the teacher-training college of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod, in 1984. Since them, she has taken numerous Early Childhood Education courses. Prior ot being called by Good Shepherd Lutheran Preschool, Kim taught Preschool at community Car, Inc., in Beaver Dam for four years. She was the head teacher for her last three years at Community Care.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Preschool is licensed by the State of Wisconsin. Our Preschool must meet State guidelines which include the areas of policies, teacher training, facilities, and curriculum. A Policy Guide which contains all the policies of Good Shepherd Lutheran Preschool is available for viewing at the Preschool. A Parent's Handbook will be provided to each family.

There are two programs to choose from:
Three year-olds have two sessions per week
Four-year olds have three sessions per week
We also encourage attendance at our Sunday school. This is available at no additional charge.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Preschool will be offering an AM and PM three day/wee session (Mon/Wed/Fri) for 4-5 year olds and an AM two day/week session (Tue/Thur) for 3-4 year olds. The AM sessions will start at 8:30 and end at 11:00. The PM three day/week session will run from 12-3:00.

A nutritious snack will be provided each day. Each child will receive a 1/2 pint of white milk each day at snack time at no additional cost. Some days the Preschool will provide the snack. Parents will be asked to volunteer to provide the snack at various times throughout the year.
