Senior Choir
The Senior Choir meets every Thursday evening during the school year from 7:30-8:45 P.M. Members of the choir use their voices to give praise and worship to God through song and anthems in many of the Sunday services, especially Church holidays and also Wednesday Lenten services.
Mission Aid
The purpose of the Mission Aid is to support mission projects and charitable agencies that are supported by St. Stephen's and approved by WELS. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 P.M. in the church basement except for July and August. July is a field trip and August is the picnic. Members are asked for a donation each month that is given at the end of the year to missions. Each member is given the name of a church member that is shut-in and asked to remember him or her throughout the year.
Ladies Aid
Ladies Aid meets the first Thursday of every month at 2:00 P.M. to study God's Word. The ladies also serve at funerals, anniversaries, etc. this money is used to purchase things for the church and school. They have a Spring Tea in May and invite neighboring Ladies Aid members.
Alter Guild
The Altar Guild is a group of people who keep the chancel area of the church pleasing to the Lord. The organization assists the pastors by preparing everything on the Altar for the worship services. Donations and memorials are appreciated and used for special purchases and flowers for special church holidays. Flowers are always welcome.
Lutheran Teens
Lutheran Teens is an organization within St. Stephen's whose purpose is to keep the teens in Christian fellowship with each other and to help the teens grow in their Christian faith. The meetings are held the first and third Mondays of the month at 7:30 P.M. Meetings include Devotion, Bible study, business meeting, and gym activities.
Friendship League
The Friendship League is a group of adult's 18 years old and older from the congregation. Its purpose is to provide an added opportunity for Christian fellowship and socializing among adults of the church through entertainment and charitable work in the church. Meetings are held the first Sunday of the month from October through June at 7:00 P.M. After the business meeting, there is some type of entertainment such as table games, bowling and visiting. There are also topic discussions done by one of the pastors. Traditionally, for the December meeting a Christmas brunch or dinner is enjoyed. A family campout is held on a weekend in summer.
Parent-Teacher Society
The purpose of the Parent Teacher Society is to praise God by promoting and fostering an active interest in St. Stephen's Christian Day School. Guidance and assistance in encouraging the spiritual and academic success and welfare of the children (in home, church, and school) is conducted through classroom visitation, meetings with parents and teachers, and other cooperative projects. All parents of children attending St. Stephen's Christian Day School are members of this organization.
Boy and Girl Pioneers
For school age children of congregation. The purpose of the Lutheran Girl Pioneers is to provide supervised and constructive recreation with their motto "Loyal to Christ" ever before them. The program includes skills in camping, citizenship, cooking, etiquette, first aid, handicrafts, homemaking, leadership, and nature with Scripture-based teaching and application under the direction of the pastors and leaders. A new program begins each September for the girls in Grades 1 through 12. Girls meet on the second and fourth Tuesday's of each month from 6:30-8:00 P.M. in the church basement. Each meeting begins with a devotion and ends in prayer. The Lutheran Boy Pioneer Program is designed to provide a structured frame so that the boys can learn more about themselves, their world, and most importantly, their Lord. The boys also meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from 6:30-8:00 P.M. in the school gym.
Lutheran Women's Missionary Society
St. Stephen's is a member of the Beaver Dam Circuit of the LWMS. All women of the congregation are members of this mission organization, and are encouraged to support it with their time, prayers, and mission offering. Circuit rallies are hosted by area congregations and are held the fourth Saturday in April and the third Saturday in October. The ladies of the congregation collect mission offerings twice a year after church services. This money supports world and home mission projects. Another project is for our ladies to remember missionaries with cards and letters throughout the year. We encourage all ladies to attend these informative programs and to learn more about the mission work being carried out by the WELS.
Radio Taping
Special services taped for St. Stephen's sick and shut-in. Singing provided by volunteers meets twice a month on Tuesdays at 7:00 P.M. Service aired at 10:15 A.M. on Sundays over WBEV 1430 AM.
Owls
For all members 55 years or older, meets second Tuesday of the month at 1:30 P.M. in church basement. Programs and activities are diverse. Each year we have two potlucks and a picnic.
Evangelism Committee
Meets last Tuesday of the month at 8:15 P.M., leads our congregation in organized Gospel outreach.
Lutherans for Life
Organizational and informational meetings are planned for each year by a steering committee. St. Stephen's Branch of Lutherans for Life is part of the WELS National Lutherans for Life. It is an educational unit within the congregation, which seeks to provide updated information on all life issues to the members of St. Stephen's and beyond to the community.
